More about Claire

Claire Simpson is a qualified and experienced dyslexia and literacy specialist, diagnostic assessor and SENCo whose career in international education spans 30 years.

Her work in schools includes over ten years as a senior education leader, directing inclusive learning services, supporting learners, guiding parents and teachers, and designing inclusive learning specialist programmes for British international school learners aged from three to 19 years.

In 2022, with her experience that cuts across the specialist and school divide, Claire set up SLS to work specifically with international school learners, their parents and teachers; to help close the inclusive learning provision gaps that can result when parents and teachers do not have routine access to SpLD or inclusive learning specialists.

In these situations Claire really wants to support everyone involved in understanding and creating learning environments in which all learners of different abilities and needs can participate, make progress and feel truly valued.

This is why, in addition to her direct work with learners, Claire also works with parents and schools; to provide inclusive learning classroom guidance, to support inclusive learning professional development and to guide school development of effective inclusive learning practice.
